The biggest challenge of this remodel process has been the care and feeding of The Dad.
One night a few weeks ago I made the grave mistake of preparing an omelette for dinner. The next day, he looked at me sorrowfully and claimed he'd been "hungry for about a week now." This is what happens when you fail to feed The Dad potatoes for several days. It's worse than getting a Gremlin wet or feeding it after midnight.

I'd like the following pictures to show two things: (1) that I've not been starving my father and (2) that I've not been starving him even under conditions that would make most cooks weep.
